Sampling and Demo-ing YOUTH Skincare

Sharing, demo-ing and sampling YOUTH is the easiest way to get new customers! We probably all have excellent customers who live too far away to do a demo for them. And we probably all have customers who refuse to buy without sampling, even though they know they can return it all for a refund--so they won't buy without a try.

These are very small 3 gram/ml jars that look like acrylic and have a shiny black screw on lid. I think it makes an elegant presentation of an elegant line, and the labels fit perfectly. Each jar/label will cost 15 cents. So sending the cleanser, toner (I don't think it will leak--maybe seal on the lid over a square of plastic?), activating serum, mineral moisturizer, radiance C+E, one night cream, and BB cream would cost $1.05, tucked inside the YOUTH booklet, plus postage. As you see in the promo below from Amazon, people can then wash them out and then use them for all kinds of things. These small sample size jars can be found  on Amazon and “match” the packaging of YOUTH. (scroll down for details on how to make your samples and links for ordering)

TIPS FOR MAKING YOUR SAMPLES

HOW MUCH TO PUT IN EACH JAR

I guess it depends if we're sending instructions for doing a demo on one hand or on the face. I think the hand is perfect as they can compare hands as they go. I'm guessing 1/8 (not more than 1/4) teaspoon of cleanser and toner and morning moisturizer and night cream. The serum dispenses the right amount, I think, as that amount can cover face and neck if you dot it on and then smooth in.

YOUTH Skin Care Demonstration

Lifetime Master Coordinator Lynn Benevento demonstrates how to do a skin care demonstration with the new YOUTH product line.

Demo-ing YOUTH Skincare

Silver cosmetic bags are available free if you place an order for the Youth Advance Skin Care Regime on autoship before the end of September.

If you cannot get the silver bag, here is an alternative. You can use the tri-fold travel bag we got when ENFUSELLE came out. After all, we still have lots of the ENFUSELLE branded products that combine nicely with the YOUTH line:  Eye Make Up Remover, Eye Treatment, Mineral Masque, Skin Polisher, Lip Conditioner. We will continue to use ENFUSELLE branded items for the rest of the body: Calming Complex, Instant Firming Serum, the Cleansing Bar, Shower Gel, Hand and Body Lotion, Shea Butter Cream, Sunscreen.

If you don't have an ENFUSELLE travel bag, you can find many like it on Amazon and elsewhere.

I like the way the elegant black-striped bag matches the simple elegance of the YOUTH items and they fit perfectly. I've even been taking it to lunch with me, and after giving the YOUTH booklet and walking through that as I share my excitement, show them what it looks like, and offer to do a demo for them and a few friends if they'd like. It also makes a nice display for a BNI meeting, Chamber, etc. without the fuss of setting it up.

In the bottom row are the 4 main products, left to right, as used. The the 3 jars stack up on the end. Behind are a baggie of cotton rounds and a pack of tissues and the ENFUSELLE bottle of water for spritzing the hand before the cleanser. In the middle row are the 4 BB colors. In the top right I have little baggies for the person to take home a Radiance C + E to put on their face, since the rest of the demo is on the hand. In the top left I have paddles to use for the Night Creams.

TIP: The YOUTH Cleanser will leak. I am using little squares of white electrical tape to cover the tiny opening at the top. I remove the tape before I pour out the product and stick it on the side of the bag. After the demo, I close the container, wipe, and replace the tape for carrying. A number of you wrote that if you turn the tops far enough you will hear a "click" and that that solved the leaking problem.

TIPS FROM LORRAINE ULRICH ABOUT USING YOUR OWN HAND AS A DEMO, BAGS, AND NUMBERING

"I used the Blue and White [SHAKLEE bag] with the little pockets inside...it just fits. I also numbered them, like I did with the first set of ENFUSELLE. I'm also doing YOUTH on my left hand, while I'm doing my face & neck. You always have them with you & you only do one."

TIPS FROM SUZ FLEMMING ABOUT OTHER BAGS THAT WORK AND MORE

"We can also use the [large and small] silver demo bag from Minerals. I can get a notebook, tablet, & all my misc supplies inside. I bought a YOUTH kit for Jim & I to use.  So I use one for all the skin care products & the other for the BB cream & cotton pads. If you have the green lunch bag from couple years ago that will work also. I even have a tiny spray water bottle with water in it in the bag."

Information from Jo Ann Boltinghouse

I stress that you should call and invite, with excitement and "sell" the idea of the pampering - then follow-up with the mailing. I always stress that I can only have 4 (as I do it around my little kitchen table with the products on the island to work from). They get excited because of my excitement and I usually don't have any no shows. I try to do it within a week of the phone invitation. There is a sense of urgency. This business is a "mind business" and we can benefit from our MINDSET!  Share and enjoy - make it fun!
